Mari Brown and Ross Simonini

Mari Brown is a writer and editor based in Boulder, Colorado. She founded a documentary
theater company in New York to create original plays based on interviews. She has led hundreds of public conversations on topics ranging from immigration to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Her projects have been featured in The New York Times and Al Jazeera, and on ABC News.

Ross Simonini is an artist, writer, and musician. He serves as the interviews editor for The Believer, and is a founder of the musical project, NewVillager. His first novel, The Book of Formation was published by Melville House & Random House in 2017. He writes essays and interviews for The New York Times, McSweeneys, Interview, Frieze, ArtReview, and Mousse. He has shown his visual work at Sharjah Biennial, Jack Hanley Gallery, Martos Gallery, Fredericks & Freiser, Human Resources, Shoot the Lobster, among others.
