Madeleine Schwartz is a journalist based in Berlin. She has written for The London Review of Books, Harper’s, The Nation, Elle, The Boston Globe, The New Yorker online, and The New York Review of Books, where she also worked as an editor for several years. Her reporting has been supported by the International Women’s Media Foundation and the Fulbright Foundation and featured on NPR and the BBC. She is currently a fellow at the Robert Bosch Stiftung, where she reports about European politics and comments for print and radio media.
