Adam Bessie writes comics in collaboration with illustrators that have appeared in national outlets such as The New Yorker, The Boston Globe, and The Los Angeles Times. Adam won the New York Association of Black Journalists 2018 Award for his graphic essay “Betsy Devos’ ‘School Choice’ Movement Isn’t Social Justice” (with Erik Thurman). He is currently working on a memoir “It’s All In Your Head,” focused on living with a brain tumor for over a decade. Adam lives in the SF Bay Area with his wife and son, where he is a full-time community college English professor.Marc Parenteau is a California-based cartoonist and editor. His work has been featured by The Atlantic, Vox, and Narratively among others. He lives near LA with his wife and a very sleepy greyhound.
